How often do the boats run?

The Water Taxis start at 9:30 for Hollywood and 10:00am in Fort Lauderdale. Boats stop running at 12:10am. They operate on the posted schedule to the best of our ability BUT there are times we may experience delays due to marine traffic, weather issues, or heavy demand.

Do you have private boats or charters?

Yes we do offer that service, Please call 617.770.0040 x102 for more information.

Where do you start from?

There is no starting or stopping point. The boat does not do a complete loop, but starts at one end of the route and then retraces its route. There are currently 14 Stops in Fort Lauderdale and 4 in Hollywood – we can tell you the stop closest to where you are located.

Can you pick up large groups?

Yes, but the capacity of our boats is limited by the Coast Guard. Once they fill up, that is it. We cannot guarantee your entire group will get on at one time. We recommend that you contact our Group sales department to find out about Group rates and availability.

Can I make reservations?

There are no advanced reservations for the Ft. Lauderdale or Hollywood Water Taxis; it is a first come- first served service. You can purchase your tickets online or onboard the boat, and we accept cash or credit cards.

Does buying my ticket online have any benefits to buying it the day of the trip?

Yes! Guests who are already in possession of a ticket/ticket voucher will board first; Guests who need to purchase a ticket will board afterwards.

Water Taxis are like a bus or train. Guests queue up and climb aboard, first come, first served. (Ticket holders first). If we hit the capacity limit set by the Coast Guard, Guests that did not board the taxi will wait for the next taxi. During peak season (December – April) we have extra service running and will be hitting most stops within a 25-30 minute time frame.
